Student Sessions
We estimate that WILD-LAB can be completed in eight 1-hour
sessions.
If your CLASS has WORK GROUPS or INDIVIDUALS
with SUPERVISED SESSIONS:
- You will FIRST log in to your CONTROL
PANEL.
- In a red box, you will see your SUPERVISED
SESSION CLASSES listed. Simply click on the CLASS you want
to ACTIVATE. You can deactivate it at any time or SET a time
for it to deactivate if you wish.
- Then tell the students to get to
their computer stations and follow the instructions on their
HANDOUTS. They simply log in with the information on their
handouts and off they go
If your CLASS LIST is INDIVIDUALS without SUPERVISED
SESSIONS:
- Your students log in following the
instructions on their HANDOUTS either in class or at-home
and off they go
The WILD-LAB program from this point on,
pretty much drives itself. It begins where the students left off
last and instructs them how to proceed. The curriculum-in-a-nutshell
works like this:
- There are 3 main LEVELS the students
go through sequentially (What Is A Wetland, the Ecosystem,
and Human Impact). They must complete each LEVEL before they
move on to the next.
- Each LEVEL consists of several SECTIONS
that cover particular topics and pose questions.
- Each SECTION must be completed before
they move on to the next one, and at the end of each SECTION,
the program will show them the score for their answers and give
them the opportunity to redo missed questions.
- Once they've completed all the SECTIONS
of a LEVEL, they get to that LEVEL'S FINAL INTERACTIVE.
This is kind of a "reward-experience" where they can
play around with an interactive experience that is relevant
to the subject matter of that LEVEL. Then they move on to the
next LEVEL's first SECTION
and so on
